You don’t have to be a science or tech genius to help out at KCMDL! But also, you could be and that’s great too! If you enjoy working with teens, learning new skills, and have an interest in robotics, audio production, 3D design or other digital creations; our volunteer program could be a great fit for you!

Volunteers are a crucial part of our organization, and we are so geeked about all the folks who share their time and talents with The Kansas City Digital Media Lab. Our volunteer program  focuses primarily on three types of volunteers: Professional Collaborators, Associate Producers, and Project Supporters.

All of our volunteers work primarily at the at the Southeast Branch of the Kansas City Public Library at 6242 Swope Parkway, KCMO, 64130, where they are led through an orientation and training .To learn what positions are currently available or to learn more about corporate volunteer partners, please email KCDML’s Volunteer Coordinator Kiesha Collins at kieshacollins@kclibrary.org

To apply for a volunteer position, please fill out KCDML’s Digital Volunteer Application

As well as the Kansas City Public Library volunteer application and background release form to be considered for the opportunity.

We hope you’ll consider giving back to the youth in our community. We can’t do it without you!
